  • Arrival to Ben Gurion Airport, Tel Aviv
  • Drive along the Via Maris, “the Way of the Sea” (Matthew 4:15)
  • Explore historic Caesarea Marittima, the Roman Capital of Judea, where Peter followed God’s leading to visit Cornelius (Acts 10) and where he proclaimed the gospel to the Romans (Acts 24-26).
  • “So King Ahab sent all the children of Israel, and gathered the prophets together unto Mount Carmel. And Elijah came unto the people” (1 Kings 18:20, 21) Visit Mount Carmel, where the Prophet Elijah confronted the prophets of Baal. A view over the valley of Jezreel.
  • Drive through the Jezreel Valley
  • Dinner and overnight at the Sea of Galilee

Day 2 - Wednesday, May 22 2024

  • Walk where Jesus walked around the Sea of Galilee. Board a wooden sailing boat, fashioned after ancient fishing vessels, for a boat ride across the Sea of Galilee. A time to worship, pray and reflect.
  • Visit the Mount of Beatitudes, the place where Jesus delivered the famous Sermon on the Mount.
  • Visit the Tabgha Church, known as the site of the Miracle of the Multiplication of the Loaves and Fishes

Day 3 - Thursday, May 23 2024

  • A visit to Nazareth Village, a hands-on experiences that transport guests to life on a Jewish village in the Galilee two thousand years ago.
  • Visit Mount Precipice, the traditional site of the cliff from which an angry mob attempted to throw Jesus after His bold proclamation in the Nazareth synagogue.
  • Look out from Mount Arbel, on the road from Nazareth to Capernaum. A sheer cliff rising majestically above the Sea of Galilee with a magnificent view of the Golan Heights and Mount Hermon.
  • Journey to Capernaum (John 6:24) to visit the first century synagogue where Jesus preached and healed the epileptic boy (Matt. 4:13-17, Mark 9:14-29).
  • Dinner and overnight at the Sea of Galilee

Day 4 - Friday, May 24 2024

  • Drive through the Jordan Valley
  • “Then Jesus came from Galilee down to the Jordan to be baptized” (Matthew 3:13). Visit Qasr el Yahud, the traditional site where John the Baptist baptized and where Joshua entered the Promised Land with the Jewish people
  • Visit Masada, situated on the top of a mountain overlooking the desert panorama to the west and the Dead Sea to the east. The thrilling story of the site reveals the courage of the Jewish defenders of Masada and their battle against the conquering Romans.
  • Swim and float in the Dead Sea, bathing yourself in the mineral rich water and mud
  • Visit the Western Wall, where people gather to pray for the start of the Shabbat. Join in Shabbat prayers with thousands of others at the Western Wall
  • Experience a Shabbat of a Lifetime dinner in a Jewish Home. Overnight Jerusalem.

Day 5 - Saturday, May 25 2024

  • And the glory of the Lord went up from the midst of the city, and stood upon the mountain which is on the east side of the city” (Ezekiel 11:23). Drive to the tip of the Mount of Olives, known as the site from where Jesus ascended to heaven after His resurrection. Panoramic view of the Old City of Jerusalem from Mount of Olives and descend to the Garden of Gethsemane, where Jesus prayed on the night of His betrayal
  • Visit the scenes of Jesus‘prayer to His Father in the Garden of Gethsemane
  • Walk the Via Dolorosa, the traditional way that Jesus went before He was crucified, ending in the Church of the Holy Sepulcher, built on the site where the crucifixion of Jesus on Golgotha is marked.
  • Visit the Garden Tomb. This ancient cemetery is a moving site in which to recall the crucifixion and burial of Jesus. Spend time in these peaceful garden surroundings in prayer, song and fellowship.

Day 6 - Sunday, May 26 2024

  • It was the place where both the first and the second temple stood. The place where Jesus as a young boy was already studying. Luke 2:41-52. In these days it is the third holiest place in Islam. A visit to the Temple Mount.
  • Walk through the Biblical City of David, the very roots of Jerusalem, where archeology confirms the Bible.
  • Visit the Davidson Center with excavations of the Herodian Temple, as it stood prior to its destruction by Roman troops in the year 70 CE. See the Hulda Steps and Gates, which used to be the main entrance to the Holy Temple, through which Jesus entered the Temple.
  • Visit the colorful markets and the Cardo, an ancient Roman site now filled with shops brimming with Middle Eastern Artistry.
  • “On the first day of the Festival of Unleavened Bread, the disciples came to Jesus and asked, “Where do you want us to make preparations for you to eat the Passover?” (Matthew 26:17). A visit to the Room of the Last Supper, The Coenaculum. According to very old sources, Jesus and His disciples celebrated Passover at this site on Mount Zion.

  • Visit King of Kings Community Jerusalem for their weekly Worship Service

Day 7 - Monday, May 27 2024

  • Visit to the Shrine of the Book in the Israel Museum, which houses the Dead Sea Scrolls, the oldest Biblical manuscripts in the world, as well as rare early medieval biblical manuscripts. Next to is the Model of Jerusalem in Jesus’ time, which reconstructs the city as it was prior to its destruction by the Romans in 66 CE
  • An introduction to modern Israel and the Jewish people at Yad Vashem, Israel’s main Holocaust remembrance and education center. Visit the Yad Vashem Holocaust Memorial Center including the Avenue of the Righteous and the Children’s Memorial
  • In the heart of a neighborhood in downtown Jerusalem, the largest open market in Israel was built in 1928, the Machane Yehuda Market. Walking through the market’s alleyways is a good opportunity to meet Jerusalem and its fascinating human mosaic.

Day 8 - Tuesday, May 28 2024

  • Lookout on biblical Samaria from Mount Gerizim, the biblical Mount of Blessings. A tour through the archeological findings of the Samaritan temple on top of Mount Gerizim. An encounter with the community of the Samaritans that live on Mount Gerizim till this very day.
  • View over Ancient Sichem with the Tomb of Joseph and Jacob‘s well, the place known for the encounter between Jesus and the Samaritan woman (John 4:4-42)
  • Tel Shiloh was a religious center for the Israelites even before Jerusalem: it was the place where the children of Israel brought the Tabernacle to. Visit the exposition “Until Shilo Comes”, visit the ancient excavations of the Biblical city Shilo and explore the place where the Tabernacle stood for 369 years
  • Visit King of Kings Community Jerusalem for their weekly Worship Service.

Day 9 - Wednesday, May 29 2024

  • A panoramic view over the Kidron Valley and Jerusalem’s Old City from the Haas Promenade. Study the prophecies about the Kidron Valley, also called the Valley of Josafat. Discover how Jerusalem is a stumbling stone for the nations, as prophesied in Isaiah 8:14.
  • Visit Bethlehem – the city where King David and Jesus were born. A visit to the Church of the Nativity, a combination of two ancient Byzantine churches and a crypt beneath—the Grotto of the Nativity where tradition states that Jesus of Nazareth was born. Visit to the Shepherd Fields, where possibly the angel announced Jesus’ birth.
  • Visit the Elah Valley, also called the valley of the Terebinth, the place where David fought with Goliath
  • Dinner and overnight in Jerusalem

Day 10 - Thursday, May 30 2024

  • At that time Mary hurried to a town in the hill country of Judea, 40 where she entered Zechariah’s home and greeted Elizabeth” (Luke 1: 39, 40). Visit to the picturesque village of Ein Karem, where John the Baptist was born and raised.
  • In 1887 established, Neve Zedek is the oldest Jewish neighborhood in Tel Aviv. The oriental architecture is mostly renovated. Narrow corridors full of boutiques and cafes offer a picturesque atmosphere. Free time in Neve Zedek and at the Tel Aviv Beach.
  • Jonah’s journey, Tabitha’s restoration to life, and Peter’s conversion of the gentiles all began in Jaffa. A visit to the Old Center of Jaffa with its harbor.
  • Farewell dinner in Jaffa.

Worldwide Village LTD (WWV) is the travel agency, based in Switzerland, coordinating the booking process and collecting the payments for the tour, on behalf of Keshet Journeys.

HOW DO I JOIN THE TOUR?

You can reserve your place on the Tour by registering on the website.

WHAT IS THE MINIMUM NUMBER OF PARTICIPANTS?

The minimum number of participants for this tour is 25 people.

WHEN IS THE REGISTRATION DEADLINE?

All registrations must be made by February 28, 2023. Registrations beyond this date will only be accommodated based on availability.

WHAT DOCUMENTATION IS NECESSARY FOR TOUR REGISTRATION AND TRAVEL TO ISRAEL?

A current passport, valid for at least six months beyond the tour, is required. There are no exceptions to this policy. A travel visa is required for some countries. Please find out more about Israel’s visa policies regarding your country here: Israel’s Visa Policy.

HOW IS THE LODGING DETERMINED?

The registration pricing per tour participant is equal for double occupancy (two people sharing a room), or single occupancy.  If you want to share a room with a specific roommate, you must register together as a two guest registration. Different bedding arrangements can be requested. If you wish to add a roommate to your registration later on, please contact WWV directly to do so.

WHAT IS THE PAYMENT SCHEDULE?

The full price of the land package is: based on double occupancy USD 3137.  A deposit of USD 10% per person is due at the time of registration.  Full payment is due 60 days before the start of the tour.

AM I REQUIRED TO PURCHASE TRAVEL INSURANCE?

We urge you to purchase cancellation insurance and supplemental medical coverage (which covers pre-existing conditions).

WHAT HAPPENS IF I HAVE TO CANCEL MY PARTICIPATION?

In addition to the Contractual Conditions of WorldWide Village Travel Ltd. the following cancellation policy is valid for your trip:

In case of cancellations by client, the following percentage of the total price will be charged:
Until 91 days prior the scheduled departure date: free of charge
90 – 45 days prior the scheduled departure date: non-refundable down payment
44 – 31 days prior the scheduled departure date: 50% of total amount
30 – 0 days prior the scheduled departure date: 100% of total amount

Cancellation of additional services:

Unless otherwise stated, all by the client pre-booked additional services related are non-refundable after booking. In case of full cancellation of the tour by Keshet Journeys / WorldWide Village the down payment as well as pre-booked pre-/ and post-nights will be refunded.

WHAT MEDICAL PRECAUTIONS SHOULD BE CONSIDERED BEFORE TRAVELLING TO ISRAEL?

There are no specific immunizations or medications that are recommended or required for travel to Israel, but we advise you to connect with your primary care physician regarding his/her recommendations for you specifically. Please keep in mind that you can purchase the equivalent of most standard over-the-counter medicines in Israel. We would also encourage you to inform your health insurance provider that you will be traveling out of the country to determine your coverage and medical care options while in Israel.

HOW SAFE IS TRAVELING TO ISRAEL?

Your safety is our top priority. Israel is a very safe country to visit and tour, and we use a variety of measures to ensure the safety of all the participants on the Tour. We also encourage you to take all the normal precautions as you would when traveling to any other city or country.

WHAT IS THE TIMEZONE IN ISRAEL?

Israel Standard Time (IST), is the standard time zone in Israel. It is two hours ahead of UTC and seven hours ahead of EST.

CAN I DRINK TAP WATER IN ISRAEL?

Tap water is safe to drink in Israel, but bottled water will also be available.

WILL I HAVE ACCESS TO WIFI?

Most hotels in Israel have WiFi available for hotel guests at standard rates. Many cafes and restaurants also offer complimentary WiFi services. Since September 2013, Tel Aviv offers a citywide free WiFi network which provides 80 free internet “hot spots”across the city. Most of the touring buses also have complimentary WIFI available.

WILL I BE ABLE TO USE MY CELL PHONE WHILE IN ISRAEL?

Please check with your mobile phone service provider to determine if you will need to purchase an International plan to use your phone in Israel. Local Israeli SIM cards with phone/data plans can be purchased during the registration process and will be delivered upon arrival in Israel. To make use of this service, your phone has to be “unlocked”.

ARE CREDIT CARDS ACCEPTED IN ISRAEL?

You can use your credit/debit card to obtain NIS (New Israeli Shekels) at ATMs throughout Israel. Most Israeli hotels, restaurants and stores accept American Express, MasterCard and Visa cards as well. American dollars are accepted in many places in Israel; however, in most cases, change will be given in NIS.

WILL I NEED TO BRING A POWER ADAPTER?

Almost all hotel rooms are equipped with hairdryers, and all have shaver sockets. For other appliances, Israel’s electricity is 220V A/C, single phase 50-cycles; 110V-220V transformers can be used. Israeli outlets have three prongs, but European two-prong adapters usually work.
